The Lord's Prayer

(This is the prayer that Jesus gave us.)

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

The Hail Mary

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

The Glory Be

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

The Apostles' Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pinouts Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended into the dead.
On the third day, he rose again.
He ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting. Amen.

The Fatima Prayer

(Given by our Blessed Virgin Mary at Fatima, July 13, 1917)

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of Hell; lead all souls to Heaven, especially those in most need of Thy mercy. Amen.

Hail Holy Queen

Hail Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our Life, our Sweetness, and our Hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this vale of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy towards us. And after this, our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary, pray for us, O holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Let us pray:

O God, whose only begotten Son, by His life, death, and resurrection, has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life, grant, we beseech Thee, that by meditating upon these mysteries of the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise, through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.

The Memorare

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided.

Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother. To thee do I come, before thee I do stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy, hear and answer me. Amen.

Prayer Before the Crucifex

Look down upon me, good and gentle Jesus, while before Thy face I humbly kneel; and with burning soul, I pray and beseech Thee to fix deep in my heart lively sentiments of faith, hope, and love; true contrition for my sins; and firm purpose of amendment; while I contemplate with great love and tender pity Thy Five Wounds…pondering over them within me and calling to mind the words that David Thy prophet said of Thee, my Jesus: ‘They have pierced My hands and My feet; they have numbered all my bones.’ (Psalm XXI, 17–18)

Holy Mary Help the Helpless

Holy Mary, help the helpless, strengthen the fearful, comfort the sorrowful, pray for the people, plead for the clergy, intercede for all women consecrated to God; may all who keep your sacred commemoration experience the might of your assistance. Amen,

Prayer to Our Lady Fatima

O Most Holy Virgin Mary, Queen of the most holy Rosary, you were pleased to appear to the children of Fatima and reveal a glorious message. We implore you, inspire in our hearts a fervent love for the recitation of the Rosary. By meditating on the mysteries of the redemption that are recalled therein, may we obtain the graces and virtues that we ask, through the merits of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.

Prayer to Our Lady of Good Counsel

Most glorious Virgin, you were chosen by the eternal Counsel to be the Mother of the eternal Word made flesh. You are the treasurer of divine graces and the advocate of sinners. I who am your most unworthy servant have recourse to you. Graciously be my guide and counselor in this valley of tears.

Obtain for me, through the Precious Blood of your divine Son, the forgiveness of my sins, the salvation of my soul, and the means necessary to obtain it. In like manner, obtain for holy Church victory over her enemies and the spread of Jesus’ kingdom over the whole earth.

Prayer to Our Lady of Guadalupe

Our Lady of Guadalupe, mystical rose, intercede for the Church, protect the Holy Father, help all who invoke you in their necessities. Since you are the ever Virgin Mary and Mother of the true God, obtain for us from your most holy Son the grace of a firm and a sure hope amid the bitterness of life, as well as an ardent love and the precious gift of final perseverance.

Prayer to Our Lady of Lourdes

O Immaculate Virgin Mary, you are the refuge of sinners, the health of the sick, and the comfort of the afflicted. By your appearances at the Grotto of Lourdes, you made it a privileged sanctuary where your favors are given to people streaming to it from the whole world. Over the years, countless sufferers have obtained the cure of their infirmities—whether of soul, mind, or body. Therefore, I come with limitless confidence to implore your motherly intercession.

Rosary Novena Prayer

Holy Virgin Mary, Mother of God and our Mother, accept this Holy Rosary, which I offer you to show my love for you and my firm confidence in your powerful intercession. I offer it as an act of faith in the mysteries of the Incarnation and the Redemption, as an act of thanksgiving to God for all His love for me and all mankind, as an act of atonement for the sins of the world, especially my own, and as an act of petition to God through your intercession for all the needs of God’s people on earth, but especially for this earnest request: (mention your request).

I beg you, dear Mother of God, present my petition to Jesus, your Son. I know that you want me to seek God’s will in my request. If what I ask for should not be God’s will, pray that I may receive that which will be of greater benefit for my soul. I put my confidence in you.

Litanies and Prayers

Stabat Mater

At the Cross her station keeping

Stood the mournful Mother weeping,

Close to Jesus to the last.

Through her heart, his sorrow sharing,

All his bitter anguish bearing,

Lo! the piercing sword had passed.

O how sad and sore distressed

Was that Mother, highly blessed,

Of the Sole-Begotten One.

Mournful, with heart’s prostration,

Mother meek, the bitter Passion

Saw she of her glorious Son.

Who on Christ’s dear Mother gazing,

In her trouble so amazing,

Born of woman, would not weep?

Who on Christ’s dear Mother thinking,

Such a cup of sorrow drinking,

Would not share Her sorrow deep?

For his people’s sins rejected,

Saw her Jesus unprotected.

Saw with thorns, with scourges rent.

Saw her Son from judgement taken,

Her beloved in death forsaken,

Till his Spirit forth He sent.

Fount of love and holy sorrow,

Mother, may my spirit borrow

Somewhat of your woe profound.

Unto Christ with pure emotion,

Raise my contrite heart’s devotion,

To read love in every wound.

Those Five Wounds on Jesus smitten,

Mother! in my heart be written,

Deep as in your own they be.

You, your Savior’s Cross did bare,

You, your Son’s rebuke did share.

Let me share them both with thee.

In the Passion of my Maker,

Be my sinful soul partaker,

Weep ’til death and weep with you.

Mine with you be that sad station,

There to watch the great salvation,

Wrought upon the atoning Tree.

Virgin, you of virgins fairest,

May the bitter woe Thou bearest

Make on me impression deep.

Thus Christ’s dying may I carry,

With Him in His Passion tarry,

And His Wounds in memory keep.

May His Wound both wound and heal me,

He enkindle, cleanse, strengthen me,

By His Cross my hope and stay.

May He, when the mountains quiver,

From that flame which burns forever,

Shield me on the Judgement Day.

Jesus, may Your Cross defend me,

And Your Mother’s prayer befriend me;

Let me die in Your embrace.

When to dust my dust returns,

Grant a soul, that to You yearns,

In Your paradise a place. Amen.

Alma Redemptoris Mater

Loving Mother of the Redeemer,Gate of heaven, star of the sea, assist your people who have fallen yet strive to rise again. To the wonderment of nature you bore your Creator, yet remained a virgin after as before. You who received Gabriel’s joyful greeting, have pity on us, poor sinners.

Amen.

Ave, Regina Caelorum

O Queen of Heav’n enthron’d,

Hail, by angels Mistress own’d

Root of Jesse, Gate of morn,

Of which the world’s true light was born.

Glorious Virgin, joy to thee,

Lovliest whom in Heaven they see,

Fairest thou where all are fair!

Plead with Christ our sins to spare.

Ave, Regina caelorum,

Ave, Domina Angelorum:

Salve, radix, salve, porta,

Ex qua mundo lux est orta:

Gaude, Virgo gloriosa,

Super omnes speciosa,

Vale, o valde decora,

Et pro nobis Christum exora. Amen.

Inviolata

Inviolate, spotless, and pure are you, O Mary who was made the radiant gate of the King. Holy mother of Christ most dear, receive our devout hymn and praise. Our hearts and tongues now ask of you that our souls and bodies may be pure. By your sweet sounding prayers, obtain for us forgiveness forever. O gracious queen, O Mary, who alone among women remain inviolate.

O benigna! O Regina! O Maria, quae sola inviolata permansisti. Amen.
